* How to order

Placing an order with french-giftshop.com  is a simple four step-process.

Step 1: Selection of your products

When you find an item that you wish to purchase, click on the add to basket buttoThis will add the item to your  shopping basket.  When you click on the viewbasket icon,   , it will display details for selected articles within the basket by the product reference, quantity and price .You can at any time change or delete your selection by pressing the eye button

When you are done shopping, use check out button.

Step 2: Check Out

Choose your shipping method and region. When you select shipping method, either standard (priority colis postal) or express by UPS, the corresponding shipping rate will be automatically added into your bill.

Enter your billing address. If your shipping address is not the same as your billing address, check the appropriate box and follow the instruction. If you have more than one shipping address, you need to place a separate order for each shipping address.  We strive to deliver your package at the most cost-effective and efficient way possible.  Given relatively high base rate for each international expedition, we propose a global shipping rate for total weight of ordered merchandise per shipping  to our customer.

Step 3: Billing Information

The entire billing process is monitored through a SSL encrypted secure server,

        If you do not have a credit card or prefer other payment options, please contact us  so we can arrange other payment options.

Step 4: Confirm your order

Before you finalize your order, you can review your order details.  You can add or modify your order at any time during the check-out process.  Once you confirmed your information, click the submit the order button.  We will send you  an order confirmation via e mail .

As soon as we ship your order,  you will receive an  e-mail notification of shipment. from us. If you have selected express shipping, this e-mail will include a tracking number which allows a direct access to UPS online tracking system .You may want to check order status by directly connecting to www.UPS.com or contact us to do the tracking for you.

* Gift Wrapping

Each article purchased at French Gift shop comes with elegant packaging and hand tied with ribbon. This is a complementary offering to our customers to make their shopping more enjoyable and less tedious. If you like your  gifts forwarded directly to the gift recipient and add  your personal message, just let us know.  Indicate special occasion and your instruction in the mail-box during check-out process. .We will  send your gifts along with complementary gift notes at no extra charge.

SHIPPING

* Methods: Standard/Express

For shipping,. you can choose either standard delivery  by the French Postal Service or express by UPS.  As a rule of thumb, UPS delivers within 24-48 hours to European continent and the North America and 2 to 3 days for major Asian cities. Standard takes 2 to 6 days longer for the same destination .  Shipping section in our home page includes estimated transit time table concerning their respective delivery times.

If you want to find out total shipping time for your order, you need to add our order processing time to the delivery time. All orders of in-stock merchandise are shipped within 3 to 10 business days.  Special order and custom-made products will take few extra days.

* Availability of Stock

Although we do our best that all items presented in our site are available for immediate delivery, certain popular items may sometimes run out of stock. Most of our artisanal products are hand-made including rare pieces from traditional art crafts. This is why certain types of products take longer than others for manufacturing process.

If items of your interest are on back-order and require waiting, we will promptly inform you by e-mail so that you may decide to wait or cancel your order. In the rare event if we can’t ship all of your ordered items within a reasonable delay, you may request for a partial shipment.

VAT will be charged only on orders within the European Community.  Custom taxes (custom duties and related formalities)and VAT outside of European Community, if applicable,  shall be born exclusively by our customer.

* Privacy & Security

The French Gift Shop uses Secure Socket Layer and 128-bits encryption for the maximum protection.  With this encryption, only our authorized gateway server has an access to your credit card information. A secure server is maintained throughout the entire checkout process.  This means that you can safely enter your payment information and it can not be intercepted in transit by third parties. For your convenience, if you place an order within a month from your previous one, our server will recognize your name and address.  However, we do not have an access to, nor do we store any of your billing information and you will be asked to enter your payment information each time. Your shopping at French Giftshop is absolutely safe.

Any customer information collected at this site will be used for internal purposes only, to process orders and to enhance our services. We do not sell, share or distribute in any form, any customer information to the third parties.  Unless otherwise requested, customers do not receive e-mail from us after their order has been completed. In order to receive products update news and special promotions, you will be required to enter the registration process through “register for  e-mail” at the home page.

You have access to your data and a right to rectify or delete them at any time.  If you have any question, please address your inquiries to customerservice@french-giftshop.com.

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. For any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your product to us within 7 days of the receipt of the merchandise and we will refund the purchase price of items returned less shipping cost and handling fees. Items must be returned in a new condition with original packaging and freight-prepaid.

* Return/Exchange Policy

All our products are carefully inspected and verified before shipping.  On the reception of the article, the customer should check the general condition of goods. For any damage in transit, you shall notify the carrier and  contact us by e mail or by fax at the latest 24 hours after delivery. You will be given a return authorization number and instruction for your return. We will replace the returned items by identical ones at our expense or reimburse the full price to the customer within 14 days. 

All returned items must be accompanied by an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) code. For your protection, we recommend to properly insure the returned package.
