Solid polished pewter handle.
This was patented in 1879 in the United States. It can pull out corks without damaging them (this was a significant plus at the time, as cork was still quite rare).Today it is very useful for old corks that are deteriorating.
Insert each prong between the cork and the bottleneck and then you simply pull the handle while turning.
