CORKSCREW WITH BRUSH

Why a brush? This accessory first appeared on corkscrews at the end of the 18th century.
At this time, many bottles were sealed with wax. After breaking the seal with a tool called a "masselotte", the brush was used to brush away the wax.
Today, the brush can still be useful for cleaning the neck of the bottle after uncorking the wine.
