Our collection of wine decanters and carafes is derived from a historical marriage of pewter and wine. 
From Antiquity to the French Kings' tables, the creativity of goldsmiths has ensured the lasting life of this noble metal. 
The same passion for pewter with age-old know-how is now combined with modernity, offering a vast variety of pewter decanter pieces from old patinas to new shining ones, choice of prestige items as well as usual objects.

Decanting serves the purposes of maximizing aeration to bring out the full aromas of red wines.  For young wines with a high tannin content, decanting facilitates its proper aeration. For old wines with deposits, it serves to separate the wine from the sediments and to open up its bouquet of flavours for the  full appreciation.

All of our decanters are made of either 24% lead Crystal or Fine Crystal called Crystalline that contains 6%-10% lead oxide. Such distintion by European standard, however, is less common in the US where both are considered as crystal regardless of the lead content.
